Double hung windows have two operating sashes; an outer upper sash and an inner lower sash. Both sashes operate by sliding up and down a track. Pneumatic balance systems are concealed to provide a clean appearance without unsightly vinyl tracks, or choose traditional weights and chains for an authentic replication. Caoba’s capability to reproduce products for landmark structures is a preferred specialty. Custom shapes to include round top, arched, and curved glass units can be crafted to your specifications. Available in our complete series of products and can be stacked and mulled with other window and door types in various configurations.

Better performance with our Hybrid DH
A cross between a Double Hung window and a Tilt-Turn window, Caoba’s new Tilt-Turn (faux) DH was created to meet the demands of the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and built with the required aesthetic while delivering high performance ratings demanded for this NYC-Tribeca condo conversion. Reproduced to the exact design and dimensions as the original DH window built in 1880’s this faux DH operates as a Tilt-Turn.
A prime example of Caoba’s commitment to addressing project specific requirements while enhancing design and function – Caoba calls this “Design Dictated Manufacturing®”
